Our Services

Girl on swingAt Discovery Station Learning Center our goal is to go above and beyond to help our parents with their demanding schedules while maintaining a stable, nurturing environment for the children.

  • Our operating hours are from 6:30am-6:30pm.
  • We adhere to the Department of Social Services Open Door Policy for parents wanting to check in on their children anytime. We encourage our parents to stop in for lunch or an afternoon activity. In addition, we will be offering webcams for parents that might be too far away to stop in. Our webcams will offer a secure way to catch a peek at your child engaged in his/her favorite activity. Webcams will be password secured to ensure parent-only access.
  • Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and evening snack are included in our weekly tuition rates. All meals are USDA compliant and meet and exceed Virginia State Licensing requirements.
  •  For children in our Infant through Toddler classrooms, certain diapers, wipes and diaper cream are provided at no additional cost.  During the registration process, just provide us with the type of diapers that you prefer and we will happily oblige.
  • Continuing Education classes for our teachers are built into our daily schedule. Our Corporate Trainer is a full time employee that works with teachers both in and out of the classroom. In addition, every employee receives CPR and First Aid training within 60 days of employment.
  • Discovery Station offers Parent Education classes, Family Nights, and tons of opportunities to participate in your child's school.
  • Girl sitting at deskOur Discovery Labs foster children's development in language and reading, science, art, and technology. They are separate from the classrooms and children travel to these rooms in small groups with their primary care teacher. In addition, our Wellness Room serves as a resting area where ill children can go to rest until they are released into their parents care. A certified RN works in the center part-time to train teachers and look after ill children, when she is not present she is on-call for emergencies. In the nurse’s absence the Wellness Room is staffed by s staff members qualified to assess the child’s needs and to care for them while they are not feeling their best.
  • Safety is our utmost concern. Our state of the art security system allows parents the security to leave with peace of mind. In addition, a staff member is always present at the front desk to assist in the arrival and departure of our families.
  • In the future, tuition payments can be easily completed online with a debit or credit card. In addition, checks and money orders are accepted at the front desk.
